RECOMMENDED NUMBER OF CLASSES
To help your child achieve excellence in dance, we recommend enrolling them in the suggested number of classes outlined below. While students are welcome to take fewer classes, please note that they may progress more slowly than their peers and could find more advanced exercises challenging. For safety reasons, students may be unable to participate in certain activities if they haven't developed the necessary foundational skills.

AGE GUIDELINES
Classes are organised by either age or ability level. Some advanced classes require students to meet the recommended weekly training hours. Proper age placement is particularly important for younger dancers, as developmental stages vary significantly during these formative years.

BALLET TRAINING EXPECTATIONS
The following guidelines ensure ballet is taught safely and effectively:

At Kiki Dance Collective, we consider classical ballet the foundation of all dance styles. Our most accomplished contemporary and hip hop dancers attribute their success to strong ballet training. We strongly encourage all students to enroll in ballet and maintain their training throughout their dance journey.

Class-Specific Requirements:

  • Little Stars 3 – Ballet enrollment required to participate in Beats class

  • Junior through Sub Senior levels – Minimum of 2 ballet classes per week (compulsory)

  • Senior & Advanced levels – Minimum of 2 ballet classes per week (strongly recommended)
